How is this different from string floss?
String floss scrapes. WaveOne flushes. The jet gets below the gumline and into tight contacts where string just bends away. A full pass takes about a minute, which is exactly why people stick with it.
Will it hurt sensitive gums?
Start on level one, which is tuned for sensitive and healing gums. Most people move up a level or two after a few weeks as things calm down. Got active dental work? Ask your dentist first.
How often do I replace the nozzles?
Every three months, same as a brush head. Four nozzles come in the box, so that is one per family member, or a full year if it is just you.
Do I need this if I already have AuraOne?
They do different jobs. The brush handles surfaces, the flosser clears out below the gumline and between teeth. Run both and it is the closest thing to a hygienist visit you can do at home. The Duo Bundle exists for exactly that reason.

Bought it for my dad who hates string floss and he actually uses this every other night. He keeps it on low so it doesn’t bother his crowns, and he mentioned the back teeth feel cleaner. I’m clumsy and usually drop things in the sink, but this has a nice grippy texture and a simple shape that’s easy to hold. I like how the stream pulses, it kind of massages the gums while clearing out stuff after salads and seeds. Shipping was quick and the box wasn’t overpacked which I appreciate. I rinse the tip and click it to face inward for storage, super easy habit now.

The first week I kind of sprayed water everywhere because I didn’t angle it right, but once I figured it out it works great. The rotating nozzle really helps with the back left molar that always traps food. I appreciate that it’s light enough for my kid to hold, and we can rinse it out easily. The battery icon is small though, I wish it was brighter. Still giving it a solid thumbs up.
