How is this different from string floss?
String floss scrapes. WaveOne flushes. The jet gets below the gumline and into tight contacts where string just bends away. A full pass takes about a minute, which is exactly why people stick with it.
Will it hurt sensitive gums?
Start on level one, which is tuned for sensitive and healing gums. Most people move up a level or two after a few weeks as things calm down. Got active dental work? Ask your dentist first.
How often do I replace the nozzles?
Every three months, same as a brush head. Four nozzles come in the box, so that is one per family member, or a full year if it is just you.
Do I need this if I already have AuraOne?
They do different jobs. The brush handles surfaces, the flosser clears out below the gumline and between teeth. Run both and it is the closest thing to a hygienist visit you can do at home. The Duo Bundle exists for exactly that reason.

My kid has braces and was leaving stuff stuck everywhere, so we added this into the bedtime routine. She thinks it’s kind of fun to use which is a miracle. The pressure options let her start soft, and I use the higher setting after dinner myself. Cleaning the tank is easy, I just open it up and let it air dry. Noticed fewer complaints about sore spots around the wires.

Bought it for travel but ended up using it every day at home. The water tank is enough for a quick pass and I like that there are 5 pressure settings because my front teeth are sensitive while my molars need more power. I did have to watch a short video to figure out the right angle, then it clicked. Battery life has been solid with charging about once a week.

I have braces and threaders were taking me forever like 20 minutes at night. With this thing it is 3 to 4 minutes tops and I do not skip anymore. The 360 tip is awesome for getting behind the wires and the water pressure is steady. I start low then ramp to medium and it never hurts my gums. Battery life is solid and it has not leaked in my bag.

I switched from floss picks to this device a month ago and my gums look healthier already. The five pressure levels actually make a difference because I start on low around a crown and then bump it up for the back teeth. The rotating tip is intuitive and I can finally reach the inside of my lower molars without twisting my wrist. I charge it once on Sunday and it lasts until Friday night. Shipping was quick and the box included simple instructions that even I could follow half asleep. The unit charges with a standard cable and holds enough water for one good pass. I love that the nozzle rotates because I’m left handed and some devices ignore that. Pressure steps are distinct, not just slightly different. If the tank were a hair bigger it would be perfect, but refilling once isn’t a big deal.
