How is this different from string floss?

String floss scrapes. WaveOne flushes. The jet gets below the gumline and into tight contacts where string just bends away. A full pass takes about a minute, which is exactly why people stick with it.

Will it hurt sensitive gums?

Start on Soft at the lowest pressure level. Most people move up a level or two after a few weeks as things calm down, and the flosser remembers the mode you used last. Got active dental work? Ask your dentist first.

How often do I replace the nozzles?

Every three months, same as a brush head. Four tips come in the box, standard jets plus a tongue scraper for fresher breath.

Do I need this if I already have AuraOne?

They do different jobs. The brush handles surfaces, the flosser clears out below the gumline and between teeth. Run both and it is the closest thing to a hygienist visit you can do at home. The Duo Bundle exists for exactly that reason.

I found this after my hygienist suggested water flossing for my crowns. The pulse stream is focused so I can aim along the gumline and it clears out stuff that hides under the edges. I like that I can flip the tip angle with one hand. The tank is enough for a quick clean and I refill for a longer session. Not fancy, just works.

My college kid came home and tried it, now he wants one because it fits in his dorm caddy. I use a stronger setting and he prefers low, so the range is nice for different people. I have gum sensitivity and usually give up on flossers because they sting. On the lowest setting this one is gentle and still removes tiny bits I never see with normal floss. I switched to this after my countertop unit died and I wanted something that didn’t hog space. This device is smaller but still strong enough to blast out the seeds that always get stuck by my back molars. I like that I can dial it down on sensitive days and then bump it up after popcorn nights. Battery life has been solid for me with about ten uses per charge.
