How is this different from string floss?
String floss scrapes. WaveOne flushes. The jet gets below the gumline and into tight contacts where string just bends away. A full pass takes about a minute, which is exactly why people stick with it.
Will it hurt sensitive gums?
Start on level one, which is tuned for sensitive and healing gums. Most people move up a level or two after a few weeks as things calm down. Got active dental work? Ask your dentist first.
How often do I replace the nozzles?
Every three months, same as a brush head. Four nozzles come in the box, so that is one per family member, or a full year if it is just you.
Do I need this if I already have AuraOne?
They do different jobs. The brush handles surfaces, the flosser clears out below the gumline and between teeth. Run both and it is the closest thing to a hygienist visit you can do at home. The Duo Bundle exists for exactly that reason.

I am not the best at consistent flossing so I bought this hoping it would be quicker. Now I do it every night before bed because it takes under a minute and my gums do not bleed anymore. I like the click of the rotating nozzle so I know where it is pointed. The results at my cleaning were better with less scraping which was a nice surprise. For me it was worth the price.

My brother told me to try a water flosser after I complained about sore gums. I like that I can start soft and then increase as I get used to it. The nozzle rotates 360 which helps me reach behind my wisdom tooth area without twisting my wrist. The battery indicator lights make sense and I only needed to charge once in ten days. After a crown replacement I was told to keep the area extra clean. This device has been perfect for that because I can angle the tip along the gumline and gently sweep the edge. I use lukewarm water which feels nicer and sometimes add a tiny bit of mouthwash. The pressure settings are well spaced so there is a real difference between them. Two months in and no more tenderness around the crown.

I used a big countertop model for years and always hated the hose. This cordless one feels lighter and I can move around the sink without dragging a base. The pulse is strong on level 5 and it really blasts out steak from between my crowns. The nozzle rotates easily so I can clean along the gumline instead of jabbing it. Cleanup is rinse and done and I store it upright to dry. Super happy with how simple the routine is now.

I have a retainer behind my front teeth and string floss always snags. This product gets under the wire easily and I can feel water sweeping around the edges where plaque builds. The handle is not slippery even with wet hands and the on off button is easy to hit. I brought it on a camping trip and used bottled water and it still performed great. Overall my mouth feels cleaner between dental visits.

I started using this device after my hygienist suggested a water flosser for my bleeding gums. The first week I stuck to the lowest setting and it was gentle enough while still rinsing out little bits of popcorn from movie night. Now I switch to level 3 for the back and the rotating tip makes it easy to angle behind my last molar. I charge it on Sunday and it lasts through Friday with nightly use. My gums feel calmer and mornings do not taste icky anymore.
