How is this different from string floss?
String floss scrapes. WaveOne flushes. The jet gets below the gumline and into tight contacts where string just bends away. A full pass takes about a minute, which is exactly why people stick with it.
Will it hurt sensitive gums?
Start on Soft at the lowest pressure level. Most people move up a level or two after a few weeks as things calm down, and the flosser remembers the mode you used last. Got active dental work? Ask your dentist first.
How often do I replace the nozzles?
Every three months, same as a brush head. Four tips come in the box, standard jets plus a tongue scraper for fresher breath.
Do I need this if I already have AuraOne?
They do different jobs. The brush handles surfaces, the flosser clears out below the gumline and between teeth. Run both and it is the closest thing to a hygienist visit you can do at home. The Duo Bundle exists for exactly that reason.

My teenager has braces and keeping food out of the brackets was a daily argument. With this gadget he actually volunteers to use it because it feels kind of fun. I’m not great with instructions, so I just filled it and pressed the button and honestly that was enough. The stream feels precise and I can see tiny bits come out which is kind of gross but satisfying. I run it around my gums slowly and tilt the nozzle with my thumb since it rotates. After a month my checkup went better than usual and the hygienist spent less time scraping which I appreciated.

I was skeptical because I tried a cheap one before and it leaked everywhere. This device didn’t leak and felt much more solid. I like that I can click the pressure up for the front teeth and turn it down near my gums that get sore. My teen borrowed it after braces adjustments and said it helped a lot. Only tiny gripe is I had to read the small print on the quick guide, but once set up it’s been great.

As someone with lingual braces, flossing is a pain, and this thing has been a real help. The targeted jet gets under the wire without me poking at my gums for ten minutes.
