How is this different from string floss?
String floss scrapes. WaveOne flushes. The jet gets below the gumline and into tight contacts where string just bends away. A full pass takes about a minute, which is exactly why people stick with it.
Will it hurt sensitive gums?
Start on level one, which is tuned for sensitive and healing gums. Most people move up a level or two after a few weeks as things calm down. Got active dental work? Ask your dentist first.
How often do I replace the nozzles?
Every three months, same as a brush head. Four nozzles come in the box, so that is one per family member, or a full year if it is just you.
Do I need this if I already have AuraOne?
They do different jobs. The brush handles surfaces, the flosser clears out below the gumline and between teeth. Run both and it is the closest thing to a hygienist visit you can do at home. The Duo Bundle exists for exactly that reason.

I have a permanent retainer and normal floss is such a pain, so this device has been a relief. The 360 nozzle lets me sweep under the wire without snagging. I like starting gentle then finishing strong on the molars. No leaks yet and the tank refills quickly from the tap. After two weeks my gums stopped feeling puffy and my hygienist actually complimented me which never happens.

I switched from string floss because my gums were bleeding and I’m honestly shocked how gentle this thing feels while still blasting out the crud between teeth. The adjustable pressure is clutch since I start on level 2 and bump to 4 for the back. The nozzle rotates so I can finally reach behind my wisdom tooth area without twisting my wrist. After switching from string floss my gums stopped bleeding within a week. I really like how the tip clicks into place and rotates so I can aim it along the gumline. The water tank seems small but it’s enough for me if I move steady. I even used it in the shower to avoid splashing while I was learning. My teen tried it and asked for their own because of braces.
