How is this different from string floss?
String floss scrapes. WaveOne flushes. The jet gets below the gumline and into tight contacts where string just bends away. A full pass takes about a minute, which is exactly why people stick with it.
Will it hurt sensitive gums?
Start on level one, which is tuned for sensitive and healing gums. Most people move up a level or two after a few weeks as things calm down. Got active dental work? Ask your dentist first.
How often do I replace the nozzles?
Every three months, same as a brush head. Four nozzles come in the box, so that is one per family member, or a full year if it is just you.
Do I need this if I already have AuraOne?
They do different jobs. The brush handles surfaces, the flosser clears out below the gumline and between teeth. Run both and it is the closest thing to a hygienist visit you can do at home. The Duo Bundle exists for exactly that reason.

I picked this up after my hygienist nagged me about flossing and honestly it’s been great. The pressure levels let me start gently then bump it up when I need a deeper clean. The nozzle swivels so I can reach the very back where I always miss. Battery life is solid for me, about 6 days before I recharge. No mess on the counter and it tucks into the little pouch when I travel. My breath feels fresher in the morning.

My teenager has aligners and this has been a lifesaver after meals. We keep it on the kitchen counter charged and he uses level 4 after dinner. The pulse jet really knocks out the food around the attachments. We’ve had it a month and the battery hasn’t died mid use once. The pouch is nice for sleepovers so pieces don’t get lost.

I switched from string floss because my gums would bleed every time. With this device I started on the lowest pressure for a week then moved to level 3. The 360 tip makes it easy to hit the back teeth without dribbling water everywhere. I keep the travel pouch in my work tote and use it before meetings when I eat at my desk. I switched from regular floss because my gums are sensitive and this device made a big difference in a week. I keep it on level 2 most days then do a higher blast on Sundays.
