How is this different from string floss?
String floss scrapes. WaveOne flushes. The jet gets below the gumline and into tight contacts where string just bends away. A full pass takes about a minute, which is exactly why people stick with it.
Will it hurt sensitive gums?
Start on level one, which is tuned for sensitive and healing gums. Most people move up a level or two after a few weeks as things calm down. Got active dental work? Ask your dentist first.
How often do I replace the nozzles?
Every three months, same as a brush head. Four nozzles come in the box, so that is one per family member, or a full year if it is just you.
Do I need this if I already have AuraOne?
They do different jobs. The brush handles surfaces, the flosser clears out below the gumline and between teeth. Run both and it is the closest thing to a hygienist visit you can do at home. The Duo Bundle exists for exactly that reason.

I chew a lot of seeds and nuts and always got them lodged in the same pesky spot. This device clears it in seconds and feels way kinder than flossing string in there. The clicky power button is responsive and I haven’t had accidental starts in my bag. My dentist gave me a thumbs up at my cleaning last week which was nice validation.

Bought for my college dorm because I wanted less stuff and this fits the bill. I charge it from my laptop USB and it holds several days. The travel pouch is handy when I go home on weekends. I emailed customer service about where to buy extra tips and they answered within a day with a link which was nice. As for performance it pulls out tons of stuff, kind of gross but also satisfying. The battery indicator is simple lights and I’ve charged it once since buying a month ago. Fits on my tiny apartment shelf without cluttering things up.

My husband and I share it by swapping tips and it’s been fine. He prefers the highest setting and I keep mine at 2 because of sensitivity but it still gets the job done. I like that it stands upright and doesn’t topple over when the tank is full. Cleanup is easy just dump the leftover water and air dry. Honestly I’m flossing more days than not now.

I have gum recession on two teeth and normal floss was catching, so I needed something gentle. On level 1 it feels like a soft massage and I can still clean around the sensitive spots. The angled nozzle is the star because I can get right along the gumline without twisting my wrist weird. My breath stays fresher longer after dinner which my spouse has actually commented on.

I travel for work and needed something that didn’t hog counter space or require a big base. This fits in my dopp kit with the little pouch and hasn’t leaked in my suitcase. The tank isn’t huge but I just refill once and that’s enough for me. I use level 3 most nights and bump to 4 after popcorn or steak. Feels sturdy in the hand and the button layout is simple which I appreciate before bed.
