How is this different from string floss?
String floss scrapes. WaveOne flushes. The jet gets below the gumline and into tight contacts where string just bends away. A full pass takes about a minute, which is exactly why people stick with it.
Will it hurt sensitive gums?
Start on level one, which is tuned for sensitive and healing gums. Most people move up a level or two after a few weeks as things calm down. Got active dental work? Ask your dentist first.
How often do I replace the nozzles?
Every three months, same as a brush head. Four nozzles come in the box, so that is one per family member, or a full year if it is just you.
Do I need this if I already have AuraOne?
They do different jobs. The brush handles surfaces, the flosser clears out below the gumline and between teeth. Run both and it is the closest thing to a hygienist visit you can do at home. The Duo Bundle exists for exactly that reason.

I had periodontal pockets starting and needed something better than my half hearted flossing. This device slots right into my bedtime routine and takes about 90 seconds. After getting a crown my dentist told me to be more careful and this has helped a ton. I start on gentle, then hit the crown area with medium and it clears everything right away. The handle has a nice grip so even with wet hands it doesn’t slip. Cleanup is easy, I just empty the tank and leave it on a towel. My breath feels fresher in the mornings now which is a bonus.

I’ve tried a couple of cheaper ones that felt weak or sputtery. This one has a consistent pulse and the five levels actually feel different, not just on or off. Shipping was quick and the box had clear instructions with pictures, which I appreciate because I’m not great with gadgets. I filled it, clicked the tip in, and was flossing in two minutes. The stream feels strong but not harsh, and you can really feel it sweep between teeth. I also like that the tank opening is big enough to clean out with a little brush. Makes sticking to flossing way less of a chore.

We have a small apartment with one outlet by the mirror so cordless is a must. This little unit solved that and I can even walk around while using it if my partner is hogging the sink. The pulse is focused and seems to flush stuff string floss always missed, especially around my lower retainer. I started seeing less bleeding by day four. The battery has gone ten days so far without needing a charge.
