How is this different from string floss?
String floss scrapes. WaveOne flushes. The jet gets below the gumline and into tight contacts where string just bends away. A full pass takes about a minute, which is exactly why people stick with it.
Will it hurt sensitive gums?
Start on level one, which is tuned for sensitive and healing gums. Most people move up a level or two after a few weeks as things calm down. Got active dental work? Ask your dentist first.
How often do I replace the nozzles?
Every three months, same as a brush head. Four nozzles come in the box, so that is one per family member, or a full year if it is just you.
Do I need this if I already have AuraOne?
They do different jobs. The brush handles surfaces, the flosser clears out below the gumline and between teeth. Run both and it is the closest thing to a hygienist visit you can do at home. The Duo Bundle exists for exactly that reason.

I kept seeing ads and finally tried it because string floss makes my fingers ache. First night I found a popcorn skin from three days ago, kind of gross but very satisfying. The 360 nozzle really does help get the back side of my last molar. I like that it stands upright and does not leak on the counter. Been using it every night for a month and my breath is better in the morning according to my wife.

I’m a dental assistant and usually picky about tools at home. This unit surprised me. The pulse feels controlled instead of splashy and the angle is easy to keep along the gumline. My husband hates the noise of big countertop ones and this is quieter in our small apartment. If you keep your head over the sink and pause between teeth it stays tidy. The battery light is still green after ten days of nightly use.

I bought this for camping trips in our small trailer. It charges from a USB outlet and the compact size means I can tuck it in a narrow cabinet. The stream is strong enough to knock out seeds and the tip rotates so I can clean behind my wisdom tooth area. I use it with filtered water at the campsite and it has not clogged. It has become part of our nightly routine with the kids brushing and me walking around with this thing humming away.

I grind my teeth and have a couple of crowns so regular floss snags. With this water flosser I can clean around the edges without worry. The rotating head lets me hit the inside of the lower molars that I usually miss. The tank is smaller than a big plug in unit but that is the trade off for being portable. I do a quick refill if I skip a day. Overall very happy and my mouth feels smoother.
