How is this different from string floss?
String floss scrapes. WaveOne flushes. The jet gets below the gumline and into tight contacts where string just bends away. A full pass takes about a minute, which is exactly why people stick with it.
Will it hurt sensitive gums?
Start on Soft at the lowest pressure level. Most people move up a level or two after a few weeks as things calm down, and the flosser remembers the mode you used last. Got active dental work? Ask your dentist first.
How often do I replace the nozzles?
Every three months, same as a brush head. Four tips come in the box, standard jets plus a tongue scraper for fresher breath.
Do I need this if I already have AuraOne?
They do different jobs. The brush handles surfaces, the flosser clears out below the gumline and between teeth. Run both and it is the closest thing to a hygienist visit you can do at home. The Duo Bundle exists for exactly that reason.

I wear a night guard and this helps rinse it and my mouth at the same time. I use warm water in the tank which feels better on my sensitive teeth. Pressure levels are legit, level 5 is powerful for when I eat corn on the cob. The battery indicator is clear and I have not had any sudden shutdowns mid use. Overall it has made me more consistent because it is quick and kind of satisfying.

After using other brands that splashed everywhere, I was surprised how precise this stream is. If I keep my lips slightly closed and lean over the sink there is almost no mess. The angled tip makes it easy to get behind my lower front teeth where plaque builds up. My mouth feels slick like after a cleaning. I appreciate the simple design without silly extra modes I never use.

I bought this for my dad who has arthritis and struggles with regular floss. He figured out the controls fast and likes that he can start on level 1 then bump up if he needs it. He called me the second day saying it got a sesame seed out that had been driving him nuts. The unit is quiet enough to use while my mom is sleeping. Charging once a week is plenty for him.
