How is this different from string floss?
String floss scrapes. WaveOne flushes. The jet gets below the gumline and into tight contacts where string just bends away. A full pass takes about a minute, which is exactly why people stick with it.
Will it hurt sensitive gums?
Start on level one, which is tuned for sensitive and healing gums. Most people move up a level or two after a few weeks as things calm down. Got active dental work? Ask your dentist first.
How often do I replace the nozzles?
Every three months, same as a brush head. Four nozzles come in the box, so that is one per family member, or a full year if it is just you.
Do I need this if I already have AuraOne?
They do different jobs. The brush handles surfaces, the flosser clears out below the gumline and between teeth. Run both and it is the closest thing to a hygienist visit you can do at home. The Duo Bundle exists for exactly that reason.

It cleans well but the charging light is tiny and hard to see in my dim bathroom. Wish it was brighter.

I bought this for my husband because he hates flossing and then I ended up stealing it. It honestly makes my mouth feel like I just had a rinse at the dentist. I like the gentlest mode around a sensitive spot near an old filling and the stronger mode for my lower molars. We throw it in the same travel pouch when we go visit family and it hasn’t leaked. The rotating nozzle is smooth and clicks into place so I can hit weird angles.

I’ve tried a couple brands and this one hits the sweet spot of size and power. The controls are straightforward so my mom borrowed it and figured it out in seconds. Level 2 is soft enough for her and I use 4 for a deeper clean. We like how the nozzle turns so we don’t have to twist our wrists. After two months the battery still holds a charge well. I have braces and this little unit has saved me so much time after meals. I keep it on level 3 for most areas and then bump to 5 around the brackets where it gets messy. The swivel tip makes it easy to reach the top molars without twisting my wrist. I’ve taken it to school in the pouch a couple times on long days. My ortho said my gums look cleaner than last visit which was nice to hear.

My hygienist kept telling me to water floss because I have tight contacts, so I bought this. After a week I noticed my gums weren’t puffy and my floss stopped shredding. I switched from a bulky countertop flosser to this cordless one and I’m not looking back. The five pressure levels actually matter because my front gums are tender while the back needs more power. I like the 360 tip since I can angle it under my permanent retainer and along the gumline. I use it every night and I’m seeing less bleeding and way less food stuck after popcorn. Battery life has been about nine days for me. It came with a pouch so I brought it on a work trip and it didn’t leak in my suitcase.
