How is this different from string floss?

String floss scrapes. WaveOne flushes. The jet gets below the gumline and into tight contacts where string just bends away. A full pass takes about a minute, which is exactly why people stick with it.

Will it hurt sensitive gums?

Start on level one, which is tuned for sensitive and healing gums. Most people move up a level or two after a few weeks as things calm down. Got active dental work? Ask your dentist first.

How often do I replace the nozzles?

Every three months, same as a brush head. Four nozzles come in the box, so that is one per family member, or a full year if it is just you.

Do I need this if I already have AuraOne?

They do different jobs. The brush handles surfaces, the flosser clears out below the gumline and between teeth. Run both and it is the closest thing to a hygienist visit you can do at home. The Duo Bundle exists for exactly that reason.

My teen hates floss and would argue every night. I handed him this and told him to try level 1 and he actually grinned because it felt like a tiny pressure washer. I travel for nursing contracts so size and battery matter. I keep this in the included pouch with a small bottle I refill. On long shifts my gums used to bleed a bit, now they don’t. The pulse feels strong but controlled and there’s no cord to fight with in tiny bathrooms. I rinse it, air dry, toss it in the bag, super easy.

I’ve tried a big plug in flosser before and hated the hose. This cordless one is much easier. I can tilt my head over the sink and guide the rotating nozzle along the gumline. I switched from string floss because my gums were getting sore and honestly I was skipping nights. This device made it easier for me to stay consistent. I start on level 2 then bump to 3 for the back teeth, and the pulse jet gets little food bits my floss always missed. The tip rotates so I can angle it behind my lower retainer. Battery has gone 10 days so far and I just dry it and stick it in the pouch when I travel.

I bought it after seeing a coworker use one at her desk before a meeting, which cracked me up. Mine lives in the bathroom and I use it after coffee.
