How is this different from string floss?
String floss scrapes. WaveOne flushes. The jet gets below the gumline and into tight contacts where string just bends away. A full pass takes about a minute, which is exactly why people stick with it.
Will it hurt sensitive gums?
Start on level one, which is tuned for sensitive and healing gums. Most people move up a level or two after a few weeks as things calm down. Got active dental work? Ask your dentist first.
How often do I replace the nozzles?
Every three months, same as a brush head. Four nozzles come in the box, so that is one per family member, or a full year if it is just you.
Do I need this if I already have AuraOne?
They do different jobs. The brush handles surfaces, the flosser clears out below the gumline and between teeth. Run both and it is the closest thing to a hygienist visit you can do at home. The Duo Bundle exists for exactly that reason.

Had a crown put in last year and string floss always caught on the edge. With this tool I can sweep around the margins without worrying. I start on level 1 and finish on 3, and it takes maybe 90 seconds. The water tank refills quickly and snaps in tight, no leaks so far. My gums look less puffy in photos which is not what I expected to notice but hey I’ll take it.

I bought this for my dad who has arthritis. He doesn’t like tiny buttons so I was worried, but the controls are big enough and he figured it out fast. After a crown replacement my dentist suggested a water flosser. This one hits the spot between the crown and the next tooth where stuff used to collect. I switched from string floss because my fingers hurt and this device is so much easier. The five pressure levels help because I keep it at 2 around my sore spots then bump to 4 for the molars. The nozzle twist makes it simple to reach behind my retainer wire. I toss it in the pouch when I travel for work and it has not leaked in my bag. After two weeks my gums look less red and my breath is better in the morning.

We are a two bathroom household with limited counter space. This fits in a cup and the cap doesn’t pop off in the drawer. I like that I can go gentle on my top gums that get sore and then bump it up along the bottom where I get buildup. The learning curve was short and now I can do a full clean while the shower warms up. Feels sturdy without being heavy.

I keep this in the shower to avoid mess and it’s been great. The grip is not slippery even with wet hands. Battery life surprised me because I only charged once in ten days. My gums are less puffy and I don’t dread the nightly routine anymore. It fits in the small travel pouch with room for toothpaste and a brush which is convenient when I crash at my sister’s place.
