How is this different from string floss?
String floss scrapes. WaveOne flushes. The jet gets below the gumline and into tight contacts where string just bends away. A full pass takes about a minute, which is exactly why people stick with it.
Will it hurt sensitive gums?
Start on level one, which is tuned for sensitive and healing gums. Most people move up a level or two after a few weeks as things calm down. Got active dental work? Ask your dentist first.
How often do I replace the nozzles?
Every three months, same as a brush head. Four nozzles come in the box, so that is one per family member, or a full year if it is just you.
Do I need this if I already have AuraOne?
They do different jobs. The brush handles surfaces, the flosser clears out below the gumline and between teeth. Run both and it is the closest thing to a hygienist visit you can do at home. The Duo Bundle exists for exactly that reason.

I emailed support to ask about replacement tips and they responded same day with a link and simple instructions. That was a good sign to me. Performance wise it’s strong enough to feel like it’s doing something without making my gums angry. I like the clicky feel when rotating the nozzle because it stays where I put it. Packing it for a weekend away was easy with the included pouch.

My teen just got her braces tightened and this has been a huge help between the brackets. We keep it on the gentle setting for her and I use the stronger one for myself at night. The handle feels sturdy and I haven’t noticed any drips from the nozzle. Charging is quick and I like that the indicator light is clear. For the price, the build and performance feel very fair.

I bought it right before a work trip and used it in a hotel with no problems. The pouch kept everything tidy and I didn’t feel weird tossing it in my carry on. I started on the gentle setting and worked up to level 4 by the end of the week once I got the hang of the angle. My breath felt fresher in the mornings and I wasn’t picking at my gums all day. I’ve tried a countertop model before and hated the cord situation, so this cordless one is a relief. The pulse feels very controlled and it doesn’t splash everywhere if you lean over the sink properly. My lower retainer collects gunk and this device blasts it out in a few passes. The power button is easy to reach and you can click through levels quickly which helps when moving from front to back teeth. Battery life has been a non issue with charging every few days.

We have a tiny sink in our apartment and this fits right on the shelf without looking messy. I use it on level 3 and my husband prefers level 1 since he has sensitive gums. The tank lasts long enough for both of us if we fill it once. I like the travel pouch because it keeps the tip from getting lost in my gym bag. After two weeks my gums don’t bleed when I brush which is a big win for me.

I got this after my hygienist suggested trying a water flosser and I’m honestly impressed. The different pressure levels matter more than I expected because my gums are sensitive in some spots and tougher in others. I start on level 2 then bump to 4 for the back teeth and it really rinses out the little seeds that always get stuck. The nozzle rotates smoothly so I can keep my jaw relaxed instead of doing weird angles. Easy to charge, easy to clean, and I’ve actually stuck with it every night because it’s fast.
