How is this different from string floss?
String floss scrapes. WaveOne flushes. The jet gets below the gumline and into tight contacts where string just bends away. A full pass takes about a minute, which is exactly why people stick with it.
Will it hurt sensitive gums?
Start on Soft at the lowest pressure level. Most people move up a level or two after a few weeks as things calm down, and the flosser remembers the mode you used last. Got active dental work? Ask your dentist first.
How often do I replace the nozzles?
Every three months, same as a brush head. Four tips come in the box, standard jets plus a tongue scraper for fresher breath.
Do I need this if I already have AuraOne?
They do different jobs. The brush handles surfaces, the flosser clears out below the gumline and between teeth. Run both and it is the closest thing to a hygienist visit you can do at home. The Duo Bundle exists for exactly that reason.

After two weeks I’m noticing less soreness around my gums and way fewer seeds stuck everywhere. Setup was basically charge, fill, and go. I like that it stands up on the counter without tipping. The buttons are simple so my dad tried it and didn’t need instructions. Travel pouch is nicer than expected and kept everything clean in my suitcase. I bought this after my hygienist suggested trying a water flosser and I’m glad I did. The five pressure levels made it easy to start on low and slowly work up without hurting my gums. My college kid came home and tried it, now he wants one because it fits in his dorm caddy. I use a stronger setting and he prefers low, so the range is nice for different people. We both noticed less soreness around the gums after about a week. Easy to wipe dry and toss into the pouch if we’re on the go. Feels sturdy without being heavy.

I have gum sensitivity and usually give up on flossers because they sting. On the lowest setting this one is gentle and still removes tiny bits I never see with normal floss. After two weeks my gums aren’t bleeding anymore and my breath stays fresher into the afternoon. It’s quiet enough to use before bed without waking my partner.
