How is this different from string floss?
String floss scrapes. WaveOne flushes. The jet gets below the gumline and into tight contacts where string just bends away. A full pass takes about a minute, which is exactly why people stick with it.
Will it hurt sensitive gums?
Start on Soft at the lowest pressure level. Most people move up a level or two after a few weeks as things calm down, and the flosser remembers the mode you used last. Got active dental work? Ask your dentist first.
How often do I replace the nozzles?
Every three months, same as a brush head. Four tips come in the box, standard jets plus a tongue scraper for fresher breath.
Do I need this if I already have AuraOne?
They do different jobs. The brush handles surfaces, the flosser clears out below the gumline and between teeth. Run both and it is the closest thing to a hygienist visit you can do at home. The Duo Bundle exists for exactly that reason.

I was nervous about water flossers but this is gentle enough on level 1 and still gets results. Picked this up for a camping trip because it’s cordless and small. Used it all weekend and didn’t need a recharge. The pressure settings made it easy to avoid irritating my gums, and the rotating head reached that stubborn back molar where food always hides. Cleanup is simple, quick rinse and let it air dry. My only adjustment was learning to lean over the sink more to avoid splashes.

My orthodontist suggested a water flosser during Invisalign and this fit the bill. The pulse is strong enough to dislodge stuff from under the aligners without making my gums angry. I start on 2 in the morning and 4 after dinner, quick rinse and done. Cleaning the tank is easy with a little brush. I feel like my trays stay clearer between soakings now.

I tried one of those super cheap ones before and it stung my gums. This one has five levels and the lowest is actually gentle. I worked up slowly and now use 3 for regular days and 5 if I had steak or popcorn. The travel pouch is a nice touch for weekends at my dad’s place. Overall it made flossing something I actually do, not just plan to do.
