How is this different from string floss?
String floss scrapes. WaveOne flushes. The jet gets below the gumline and into tight contacts where string just bends away. A full pass takes about a minute, which is exactly why people stick with it.
Will it hurt sensitive gums?
Start on Soft at the lowest pressure level. Most people move up a level or two after a few weeks as things calm down, and the flosser remembers the mode you used last. Got active dental work? Ask your dentist first.
How often do I replace the nozzles?
Every three months, same as a brush head. Four tips come in the box, standard jets plus a tongue scraper for fresher breath.
Do I need this if I already have AuraOne?
They do different jobs. The brush handles surfaces, the flosser clears out below the gumline and between teeth. Run both and it is the closest thing to a hygienist visit you can do at home. The Duo Bundle exists for exactly that reason.

Packaging was simple and it came with clear instructions which I barely read to be honest, I just filled it and pressed go. The first couple tries I sprayed my mirror because I wasn’t used to the pressure, now I lean over the sink and it’s no problem. The rotating head helps reach that back left molar that always traps tortilla chips. I feel like my gums look less puffy after a week.

After braces my dental hygienist suggested a water flosser and I grabbed this one on a whim. It really does blast out the tiny bits stuck in my lower retainer area and I can angle the tip around the wires without poking my gums. The motor is not too loud so I can use it late without waking my kid. I rinsed the tank with warm water before first use and there was no plastic taste. Very happy with it so far.

I switched from string floss because it always hurt and I would skip nights, but this little cordless flosser made it easy to stick with the routine. The 5 pressure levels were helpful the first week since my gums are finicky and I could start low then move up. I like how the nozzle turns so I can reach behind my wisdom tooth area which I usually miss. After two weeks my mouth just feels cleaner when I wake up and my coffee breath is not as strong. Battery charged once and still going.
