How is this different from string floss?

String floss scrapes. WaveOne flushes. The jet gets below the gumline and into tight contacts where string just bends away. A full pass takes about a minute, which is exactly why people stick with it.

Will it hurt sensitive gums?

Start on level one, which is tuned for sensitive and healing gums. Most people move up a level or two after a few weeks as things calm down. Got active dental work? Ask your dentist first.

How often do I replace the nozzles?

Every three months, same as a brush head. Four nozzles come in the box, so that is one per family member, or a full year if it is just you.

Do I need this if I already have AuraOne?

They do different jobs. The brush handles surfaces, the flosser clears out below the gumline and between teeth. Run both and it is the closest thing to a hygienist visit you can do at home. The Duo Bundle exists for exactly that reason.

I bought this after my hygienist suggested trying a water flosser and I’m glad I did. The five pressure levels made it easy to start on low and slowly work up without hurting my gums. The angled tip really lets me reach behind my wisdom teeth area where stuff always gets trapped. Battery life has been a full week with nightly use. I’m not great at flossing with string because my teeth are tight and it snaps. With this, I just run it along the edges and it frees the stuck bits after meals. The pressure settings make it easy to start gentle then finish strong. My partner noticed my breath is better in the morning which is a win. Recharging is easy and I only need it once a week.

Order arrived two days early which was nice. Setup was nothing, just charge and click the tip in. I like that it remembers the last pressure setting because my spouse uses a higher level than me and we kept switching it back. It’s not totally silent but it’s a soft buzz that doesn’t wake the baby. I can do a full clean in under two minutes before bed and I actually stick to it now.
