How is this different from string floss?
String floss scrapes. WaveOne flushes. The jet gets below the gumline and into tight contacts where string just bends away. A full pass takes about a minute, which is exactly why people stick with it.
Will it hurt sensitive gums?
Start on level one, which is tuned for sensitive and healing gums. Most people move up a level or two after a few weeks as things calm down. Got active dental work? Ask your dentist first.
How often do I replace the nozzles?
Every three months, same as a brush head. Four nozzles come in the box, so that is one per family member, or a full year if it is just you.
Do I need this if I already have AuraOne?
They do different jobs. The brush handles surfaces, the flosser clears out below the gumline and between teeth. Run both and it is the closest thing to a hygienist visit you can do at home. The Duo Bundle exists for exactly that reason.

Took it on a camping trip with limited outlets and the battery still made it through five nights for two of us. We used lower pressure to conserve water and it still did the job. The compact size is nice because it doesn’t hog the tiny sink in our van. Rinses out easily and dries fast. My partner says it’s the first time travel flossing didn’t feel like a chore.

Had a crown put in last year and string floss always caught on the edge. With this tool I can sweep around the margins without worrying. I start on level 1 and finish on 3, and it takes maybe 90 seconds. The water tank refills quickly and snaps in tight, no leaks so far. My gums look less puffy in photos which is not what I expected to notice but hey I’ll take it.

My teenager had a canker sore and still managed to clean around it using the gentlest setting which impressed me. I use higher pressure and it absolutely removes the stuff that hides behind my back teeth. We take it when visiting grandparents because the pouch keeps all the tips together. Battery held up across the whole weekend with four people sharing it. Feels like a smart household upgrade that we actually use.

I switched from a countertop flosser to this because I needed something I could pack for work trips. The cordless design is great and the rotating tip helps me reach behind my molars where I usually miss. I start on level 1 for the front and bump to 3 for the back teeth.
