How is this different from string floss?
String floss scrapes. WaveOne flushes. The jet gets below the gumline and into tight contacts where string just bends away. A full pass takes about a minute, which is exactly why people stick with it.
Will it hurt sensitive gums?
Start on level one, which is tuned for sensitive and healing gums. Most people move up a level or two after a few weeks as things calm down. Got active dental work? Ask your dentist first.
How often do I replace the nozzles?
Every three months, same as a brush head. Four nozzles come in the box, so that is one per family member, or a full year if it is just you.
Do I need this if I already have AuraOne?
They do different jobs. The brush handles surfaces, the flosser clears out below the gumline and between teeth. Run both and it is the closest thing to a hygienist visit you can do at home. The Duo Bundle exists for exactly that reason.

I’m not the most coordinated person and the first try was a mess lol water everywhere and the dog was confused. Now I lean over the sink and work in small sections and it’s great. The different pressure levels really matter on sore days versus heavy clean days. I actually look forward to using it which is wild for anything dental.

I bought this after my hygienist suggested trying a water flosser for my stubborn plaque. I bought this after my hygienist suggested trying a water flosser for my tight teeth. The first night I used the lowest pressure and worked around the gumline slowly, and I actually could see little bits of food come out from places my floss missed. After a crown replacement I was told to keep the area extra clean. This device has been perfect for that because I can angle the tip along the gumline and gently sweep the edge. I use lukewarm water which feels nicer and sometimes add a tiny bit of mouthwash. The pressure settings are well spaced so there is a real difference between them. Two months in and no more tenderness around the crown.
