How is this different from string floss?
String floss scrapes. WaveOne flushes. The jet gets below the gumline and into tight contacts where string just bends away. A full pass takes about a minute, which is exactly why people stick with it.
Will it hurt sensitive gums?
Start on level one, which is tuned for sensitive and healing gums. Most people move up a level or two after a few weeks as things calm down. Got active dental work? Ask your dentist first.
How often do I replace the nozzles?
Every three months, same as a brush head. Four nozzles come in the box, so that is one per family member, or a full year if it is just you.
Do I need this if I already have AuraOne?
They do different jobs. The brush handles surfaces, the flosser clears out below the gumline and between teeth. Run both and it is the closest thing to a hygienist visit you can do at home. The Duo Bundle exists for exactly that reason.

I’m in braces again at 40 and needed something to keep stuff from camping under the wires. This little flosser gets right under there and saves me time at night. After braces I still had food catching in the back and flossing strings would shred. This device clears it out fast and I actually look forward to using it after dinner. My partner and I share it by swapping tips and it’s been fine. He likes level 5 and I stick with level 2 because my gums are sensitive. I can get all the way around my wisdom tooth area where string floss never worked. The pouch is helpful for trips and keeps the head from getting dusty. I feel like my morning coffee breath doesn’t stick as much since using this regularly.

I bought this for my college kid who hates floss but loves gadgets. He texted me that it “obliterates tortilla chip shards” which is gross and hilarious but also true. The body is compact and doesn’t crowd his dorm sink. He said the lower settings are quiet enough not to wake his roommate. Price felt fair and it seems well built for travel back and forth on breaks.

Shipping was quick and the box included simple instructions that even I could follow half asleep. The unit charges with a standard cable and holds enough water for one good pass. I love that the nozzle rotates because I’m left handed and some devices ignore that. Pressure steps are distinct, not just slightly different. If the tank were a hair bigger it would be perfect, but refilling once isn’t a big deal.
