I picked this up after my old electric died mid trip and I’m glad I did because it fits my routine perfectly. The five modes are not gimmicks for me since I actually use two of them depending on if my gums feel tender that day. I am in braces at 37 and needed something that could get around brackets without pain. The soft head with gentle mode has been perfect, and on days when I eat popcorn by mistake I switch to a stronger setting to feel extra clean.
