Because they clean different things. Bristles handle surfaces, the water jet handles the gaps and the gumline. Run both and you cover the whole mouth, and the bundle costs less than picking them up one at a time.
Brush the full two minutes with AuraOne first, then finish with sixty seconds of WaveOne to flush out what the brush loosened.
The brush charges over USB C with the cable in the box. The flosser charges over USB C too, with its own cable in the box.
Both handles, the motors, the batteries, and the electronics, for as long as you own them. Heads and nozzles wear out by design, so those are consumables.

I bought this after my dentist suggested I switch to sonic cleaning, and I’m glad I did. It’s simple to figure out with just a few buttons, and I rotate between the standard and sensitive modes depending on coffee days. The pressure light is surprisingly helpful because I tend to push too hard when I’m rushed. The soft brush head got me through a tender gum week, then I moved to medium and felt a big difference in how smooth my teeth are. I charge it maybe once every 12 days. No app nagging which I appreciate.

After a cleaning my hygienist told me to lighten up so I wanted something that would nudge me in real time. The pressure sensor does exactly that with a gentle alert, no loud beep, and I adjusted my grip in a day. I love that there’s no app or tracking, just a simple button and clear modes. I travel for work three times a month and the battery made it through two trips before I even thought to charge. Everything feels cleaner between molars which I always missed with a manual brush.

My teenager actually uses this without me reminding, which is saying something. We both share it by swapping tips and dialing the pressure down for her sensitive gums. The swivel tip is clutch for her wisdom teeth area that’s still a bit sore. She said it doesn’t splash everywhere like the old countertop model we had. It fits neatly on our tiny shelf and charges with the same cable as her phone which is convenient.

I picked this up after my orthodontist recommended water flossing around my retainer, and it’s been great in my nightly routine. The five pressure settings actually make sense, since I use low in the morning and higher after dinner when I need more oomph. The nozzle rotation helps me get around the wire without poking my gums. I charge it on Sundays and it lasts the whole work week. Cleanup is easy, I just empty the reservoir and let it air dry on a towel.

My old electric brush felt clunky and I never used the app anyway, so the simple buttons on this are a relief. I like the whitening mode when I’ve had tea, and the sensitive mode when my gums feel tender. The pressure alert stopped my bad habit of grinding the brush on my molars. Shipping was quick, it came in clean packaging, and set up was basically charge and go. Teeth feel smooth like after a cleaning.

Got this for my RV because counter space is a joke in there. It charges up before the weekend and lasts through our short trips, and the pouch keeps it from rolling around in the cabinet. The mid pressure is strong enough to clear out brisket bits after a cookout. My wife likes the lowest setting because her gums bleed easy and she says this doesn’t bother her. We both like how the nozzle spins so we don’t have to do weird angles.
