I gave this to my mom who has sensitive gums and arthritis in her hands. The grip is comfortable for her and the gentle mode with the soft head has been kind. I switched from a basic manual brush after my hygienist nagged me about plaque, and this thing made it easy to build a routine. The five modes actually feel different, so in the morning I use a stronger setting and at night I go gentle. The little pressure light trains me not to mash my gums, which I was totally guilty of. I switched from a basic manual brush after my hygienist suggested a sonic one, and this has been a clear upgrade.
